  I got a hedgehog on October eighth this year! When I got her she was I think around 5-7 weeks old! She is sooooooo cute! Anyways, her name is Thistles, which is hard to say so I call her Thissy! She’s so awesome! O.o

Here is some info. That you will need to know:

Hedgehogs are nocturnal, but don’t worry if they are not awake at night. They can sleep whenever.

Hedgehogs’ main food is cat food=) premium made ‘hedgehog food’ is actually not always very good for them because sometimes it doesn’t have enough protein, which they need. When getting cat food for a hedgie, make sure that the main ingredient is meat. Also hard cat food is better than soft because it is good for their teeth!

Always be patient with a hedgie! They can get grumpy

If your hedgie is having trouble walking, or standing, or if they are wobbly when they move, this could mean that they have wobbly hedgehog syndrome. CALL A VET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is waaaaay better to get your hedgie from a breeder than from a pet store. Pet store hedgehogs can be more grumpy
